NOTE: As with your desktop computer, these new Hard drive / DVD recorders should have a battery backup system so you won't lose important videos. If recording on Hard drive or DVD and power fails that video information will be lost unless you can hit the stop button. With a battery backup (UPS) it will give you time to hit stop and save the video. You need at least a 200 watt UPS or 300 would be best. They run around $80 at any place computers are sold. This will be the best $80 you have ever spent!!
